First Years For My Country
I have never fully understood the deeper significance of Veterans Day, November 11, which marks the beginning of the holiday season, until now. This newfound understanding comes from a courageous young man named Andrew, who served in the Army shortly after graduating high school. Now stateside, he agreed to appear on our podcast show, Catholic Camper.
During the podcast, Andrew emphasized that Veterans Day is an essential occasion for all Americans, not just for those who have served in the military or have connections to it. It is a time to pause and reflect on the tremendous sacrifices made for our freedom. He adds that Veterans Day serves as a profound reminder that the liberties we often take for granted—such as the right to vote and the ability to express ourselves—are protected by the dedicated service of our veterans.
And finally, he asks Americans to set aside feuds and focus on supporting a class of individuals who served their country, and for some, gave their ultimate sacrifice.
