Recently, I ran into an old friend from another city, and we reminisced. When he asked about my wife, he was stunned to learn that we have been married for 40 years.
The longevity of our marriage is pretty straightforward and highly intentional. My wife and I are Catholic and believe that marriage is a gift rooted in authentic love. I'm not referring to the kind of love that is just a fleeting feeling; rather, I'm talking about a love that involves being consistently attentive to each other's well-being.
