Unfinished Wedding Vows
Recently, I ran into an old high school friend, and we reminisced. When he asked about my wife, he was stunned to learn we'd been married for 40 years. Curious about how we made it work, especially knowing my younger self, he pressed me for answers. The conversation was illuminating, and afterward he suggested I write down my wedding vows. And so I did, in a podcast. Who knows, perhaps listeners would be inspired in their own relationship?
The longevity of my marriage is pretty straightforward and highly intentional. My wife and I are Catholic and believe marriage is a gift rooted in authentic love. I'm not talking about love as a feeling; I mean love that involves being consistently attentive to each other's well-being. Situations that benefit my spouse, like, "Hey, let's slow down on the Twinkies; it's not a healthy snack."
Join my podcast, where I will share insights from my 40-year marriage-covering challenges, sacrifices, and vows that can resonate with couples at any stage of their relationship, helping you strengthen your own bond.
